The target customers for KP Accounting Services are KP Affiliates, micro/small businesses, nonprofits, and human service organizations generally.

KP is using this job posting to identify Talent Advisors to lead this new practice area and develop the future accounting talent for our community partners. The role of the Talent Advisor can be thought of as part Adjunct Professor and part Business Services Manager.

Background & Program Description

Are you a dynamic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit? Are you both a practitioner and educator? Are you an experienced accounting professional with expertise in QuickBooks Online and similar? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to lead an accounting agency comprised of junior talent (think minor leagues like professional sports). This new business will provide accounting services for price sensitive customers and an experiential learning opportunity for junior talent (I.e., interns and apprentices).

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor that will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing the work of a team of bookkeepers in training, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on QBO and cloud accounting and experience and passion for teaching others (this is of the upmost importance). Experience managing a team of bookkeepers in a client service model is a plus. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The position is virtual.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the work of a team of bookkeepers- including assigning work, establishing a clear process for weekly / monthly tasks to be completed for all clients.
• Providing guidance and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulations (quality control)
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that are consistent with industry best practices and comply with applicable regulations.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for senior management and other stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accounting practices are consistent with business needs.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure the agency is compliant.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of QBO and other accounting software.
• Provide training and support to staff members on QBO and other accounting software.
• Support integration of QBO with our proprietary eCommerce platform and other systems.

Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements:

• 8-10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on QBO and cloud accounting.
. Adjunct Professors, Professors with corporate experiences
• Graduate with CPA credentials and with teaching background preferred.
• Be a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
• Experience managing a team of bookkeepers in a client services model is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software and financial systems, with expertise in QBO.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff members.
