Job Description:

The Medicaid / Medicare Personal Care Assistant provides a variety of supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. A person centered and person directed approach is used to develop a unique support system for each client. Kinetic Potential provides a range of support services in order to support people to pursue and achieve their desired outcomes: Community Learning Services, Family and Personal Supports and Day Habilitation services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide social interactions and help with appointments, walks, entertainment, reading, cards, memory games, visits, outings and trips
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene and ambulation
  • Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping
  • Help with medication reminders, healthy movements, healthy diet, and setting with doctor's appointments
  • Observe and report changes in the client's mental, physical and emotional condition or home situation to nursing supervisor in a timely manner
  • Communication with client, family members and co-workers

Requirements:

  • Passion for community improvement and social impact
  • * Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide or CNA desired
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Successfully pass background check
